Parents for Ethical Adoption Reform (PEAR) is an organization began with a group of adoptive parents and prospective adopted parents turned into activist in the anti-adoption movement. In their own personal interactions with the adoption system they were left unsatisfied with what they experienced. From their perspective they felt that the adoption system is most hurtful to those it impacts the most.
